Comic books, cartoons, and video games have surrounded Sarah since birth. Justice and altruistic superheroes in particular fascinated her as a child and as a result she was always drawn to playing the "good guy" —never the villain. The day Sarah walked into Boomerang Comics for the first time, she reacted much like a kid in a candy store (comic book stores are scarce in England and the native Brit had the surreal experience of stumbling into the Hall of Justice).
Sarah is currently a college student at [CLASSIFIED], where she frequently whips out a comic book between lectures and has even introduced some of her professors to her favorite titles. While her passion is the comic books themselves (specifically Scarlet, Batwoman, Nightwing, Superboy, Chew, Green Arrow, Daredevil, iZombie, and a little bit of Deadpool), Sarah can be found playing video games like Skyrim, Dead Rising 2, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Battlefield 3, Pokemon, or secretly destroying lives (in The Sims 3).
Sarah first got into comics for the incredible art. She is a college student pursuing a masters degree in studio arts. Until then she gladly helps customers, and works at Boomerang Comics. Some of her favorite titles are American Vampire, X-men Legacy, Captain Marvel (drawn by Filipe Andrade), Scott Pilgrim, Thor, Journey into Mystery, Saga, Fables, Unwritten, Deadpool (whats not to love?) and recently, Peter Panzerfaust. Aside from comics Sarah grew up watching Star Wars (the best romantic comedy ever made) over and over again and also reading the novels. She adores Adventure Time, table top games, collecting vinyl records, and anything science fiction; Star Trek, Tron, Doctor Who, etc. She is always eager to talk geek, and is honored to be a part of the Boomerang family.
As most children raised in the 90's Luke was deeply entrenched into the several animated comic series. Batman the Animated Series, Spider-Man, X-Men, Justice League, and Batman Beyond all helped to bring Luke into the comic world of today! With decades of comic reading and research under his belt Luke is your go to guy for all of your comic history, and he can recommend you some pretty good series too! Of course if you are an anime or manga fan Luke will be happy to serve with his up to date collection of both!
Luke's favorite comic series include Spider-Man, The X-Men Series, Green Lantern (and all lanterns in between!), Flash, Batman, The Walking Dead, Naruto, and Bleach!
Favorite writers include the likes of Rick Remender, Jason Aaron, Geoff Johns, Scott Snyder, Jonathan Hickman, Michael Straczynski, and Brian K. Vaughn.
Certified Wonder Woman groupie, who spends far too much time on in the Internet. Emilia is a relatively newcomer to comics, but, like Galactus himself, she has managed to devour far too much information on comics. You can probably find her in the back on her computer writing up reviews and previews for the store. In her spare time she's probably playing Mass Effect.
Her favorite artists include Kevin Wada, Greg Capullo, Cliff Chiang, and Karl Kerschl. Her favorite writers are Gail Simone, Scott Snyder, Peter Tomasi, and Matt Fraction. If it's got a leading lady there's a good chance Emilia's reading it, but the short list of favorite series includes: Wonder Woman, Batman, Ms. Marvel, Saga, Letter 44, and Rat Queens.
